Strawberry Nut Bars - #2000
Strawberry Nut Bars

Dough:
1 lb. Margarine
1/2 C. Sugar
6 C. Flour
10 oz. Whipping Cream
2 tsp. Bakers Choice Almond Extract

Filling:
1 lb. Ground Walnuts
2 C. Sugar
5 T. Bakers Choice Vanilla Extract
2 T. Bakers Choice Rum Extract
1/4 C. Water
16 oz. Bakers Choice Ovenproof Strawberry Jam

Cream:
8 oz. Bakers Choice Chocolate Glaze

Combine ingredients for dough and knead until smooth. Divide into 4 parts. Roll out each on floured board approximatly 1/8" thick.
Combine ingredients for filling and mix well. Spread a thin layer of strawberry jam on dough. Place filling lengthwise down at edge of dough. Roll over twice and cut. Place seam down on cookie sheet and repeat until done. Slit tops lightly and bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Cool and cut bars.
In a double boiler melt chocoloate glaze and drizzle over bars.
