In a large bowl, cream together shortening, peanut butter and sugars. Blend in egg and vanilla. In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. Stir dry ingredients and chips into creamed mixture until smooth dough forms. With your hands, form teaspoonfuls of mixture into small balls and place on greased baking sheet. Flatten balls slightly then press floured fork across top of each cookie. Bake on 375 , for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
